General Orders
General:
The Pilots of MCVG-2 hope to foster a friendly atmosphere for our comrades, based on teamwork, dedication, and honor.
1. We hope to foster a sense of camaraderie that will not be matched.
2. We hope to emulate the actions of MCVG-2, who flew from the deck of CVE-107, USS Gilbert Islands.
3. It is our hope that we can continue their legacy of honor, integrity and sense of duty to each other.
Code of Conduct:
1. Pilots of MCVG-2 will act in a way that does not bring dishonor to this Air Group. While in uniform (using the MCVG-2 prefix), a pilot of MCVG-2 shall act as an Officer and a Gentleman (or Lady) at all times:
a. The use of foul language should be minimised on Teamspeak. As the CO, I understand that this is a way for some of us to relax form real life, and that this isn't a prayer meeting, but please keep it toned down.
b. Foul language shall not be typed at anytime. This includes Hyperlobby, Servers, and ours or any other forums.
2. Members of MCVG-2 will never engage in any defamatory banter, arguing, name calling, and/or other acts that may blight the name of a squadron.
3. If another squad acts in a way that is piggish and or defamatory towards us, excuse yourself from the situation and inform a member of the Command Staff. All transgressions against us will be handled by the Command Staff. If diplomacy won't solve it, our guns will.
4. Any internal disputes will be handled by the JAG. At no time should an internal dispute be expressed in public.
Currency Requirements:
1. Mandatory Air Ops. There will be one mandatory Air Ops Night a month.
2. Training. Training will occur as well as Squadron operational flying in other servers.
3. Weekly Squadron Nights. Weekly Squadron Nights will occur, however attendance will not be mandatory.
4. Wingmanship. It is imperative that pilots work on their wingmanship outside of training nights.
5. Flight Logs. To remain active in the squad, it is required that a pilot logs 6 hours of flight time a month. Flight logs are to be posted in, and once they are turned in the logs will be posted on the website.
Callsign:
1. To honor those pilots who flew before us, each pilot will adopt the name of an actual pilot from MCVG-2 in the format - MCVG-2_Name.
2. Like putting on a uniform, as you assume the name for your flight operations, remember that you are now representing the original pilot who flew and fought so that we may be free. Do those heros honor by your every action.
Teamwork (from the Training Officer):
1. Two average pilots working as a team are a deadly force to deal with. One outstanding pilot working alone is just looking for a place to die.
2. It is my job to save your butt and it's your job to save mine
3. Keep it fun.
